Help

Windows showed a warning. Is it safe?

The warning appears because Screenshare has no paid publisher certificate. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The source is open and every release publishes SHA256 sums of its files.

Why does the Mac use Terminal?

Apple charges US$99 a year to allow apps downloaded through a browser. Screenshare is free, so it installs through Terminal, which is not subject to that block. The script only downloads the app and puts it in Applications.

Allow Screen Recording, microphone and camera as needed. If capture stops after an update, remove and re-add the app in Privacy & Security.

Installer or portable?

If unsure, pick the installer. The portable app is for computers where you cannot install programs. Both update themselves.

Is there a Linux app?

Not yet. Use Screenshare in the browser, in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
